The Amazon rainforest is one of those bucket list-worthy destinations that most people dream of visiting.
Spanning over 1.4 billion acres of land it's the world's largest tropical rainforest, not to mention it offers 4,100 miles of winding rivers (including the Amazon river, of course).
Then there are all of the fascinating species of plants and animals which live here, with everything from sloths to monkeys and anacondas.
No wonder it's hailed as one of the world's most amazing rainforests.
However a trip to the Amazon isn't always the easiest to organise, nor is it budget-friendly for Brits. Not to mention that at the moment travelling just isn't viable during the coronavirus pandemic.
However, the team at the Latin American Travel Association (LATA) have provided us with a touch of escapism - and the chance to explore the Amazon rainforest from the comfort of your sofa.
That's because they've searched out the ideal combination for recreating the jungle atmosphere in your living room. It's not the same as being there of course - but it's quite a nice way to pass the time.
First of all, those all-important jungle sounds. While there are plenty of videos and playlists you can find online, they can be generic 'rainforest' sounds.
However, Delfin Amazon Cruises has created an Amazon rainforest-specific symphony complete with unique sounds of the animals, the water, the weather and even the wind.
There are two tracks to choose from, whether you want to experience the jungle by day or by night. You can find both of them on the Delfin website - and they're free too!
Once you've chosen the sounds, it's time to enjoy some breathtaking views of the jungle itself.
In fact, the Napo Wildlife Centre has offered a 360 degree panorama of the tree canopy from its observation tower. The tower sits in the heart of the Yasuní National park, a UNESCO Biosphere Reserve, and offers a glimpse of the incredible lush green scenery.
Now just sit back, take in the views and sounds, and let yourself be transported to the incredible rainforest - it's the ideal setting for a bit of daydreaming.
