Emmerdale viewers believe they spotted a major blunder on the ITV soap on Friday evening, as the Dingles struggled to cope with the cold.
The family were seen wrapped up in dressing gowns, coats and gloves at the start of the episode as they could not afford to turn the heating on amid money woes.
Amid the cost of living crisis and the freezing winter weather, the family are finding it difficult to be able to afford to heat their humble home.
The family has been struggling for a while, particularly since Lydia temporarily quit her job, and to make matters worse the money troubles have coincided with Liv's 21st birthday, which left Vinny miserable.
Yet Emmerdale fans were left puzzled by the storyline, as they remembered Vinny had been left a fair share of property and assets by Liv when she died – begging the question of why he hadn’t dipped into the savings given the dire state of affairs at the Dingle residence.
Taking to Twitter, one fan asked: “Why is Vinnie skint when he inherited Liv's estate?”
A second similarly questioned: “Surely between them all, they could scrape by? Vinny's got his apartment going empty doesn't he?”

A third wrote: “Isn’t Vinny loaded?” as another asked: “What happened to Liv & Vinnie's place?”
However, it seems instead the grieving character will turn to a life of crime in order to heat the home, helped by Belle.
At the end of Friday’s episode, the family were seen with the heating turned up in a toasty house, as the pair explained they had filled the tank with oil after selling a carburettor.
However, it seems the truth of the change in fortunes may be more sinister as spoilers have revealed the pair turn to dodgy dealings to make it through the winter.
The notorious soap family have been well known for their mischievous money-making schemes over the years – although they've somewhat calmed down in recent years.
However, Belle and Vinny embark on the risky move of syphoning oil from Eric’s oil tank in order to fill their own.
Will they get caught red-handed when they’re forced to strike again once their oil runs dry another time?
Emmerdale airs weeknights at 7.30pm on ITV.
