It's that time of year again when the city is an interesting sight, filled with locals dressing up in some interesting attire to celebrate Halloween.
With the city centre usually packed with long lines of costume-clad groups waiting to get into nightclubs and bars, elsewhere the streets are full of children heading out guising.
A tradition from hundreds of years ago that used to see the costumes worn to ward off evil spirits, the event has evolved a little but still involves going door to door to perform a joke or even a song.

This year, a host of impressive costumes were seen, with some going for some classic film characters, and others even playing the role of some dark figures from Edinburgh's past.
To celebrate the efforts made this year, here are some of Edinburgh Live's top favourites for 2022.
Burke and Hare
Two of the most notorious figures from Edinburgh's past, local mum Nadine Ross dressed her two sons up as Burke and Hare for this years' guising.
The grave robbers and body snatchers turned serial killers once left the city terrified as they worked to provide fresh cadavers for the doctors of Edinburgh.
In an impressive effort, the boys had been given a historic look, and even came complete with a fake bagged up body and a wanted poster.
Home Alone
Bradley, 10, and Luke Forsyth, 8, from Edinburgh decided to give everyone in their local area a proper fright when they decided to dress up a the baddies from Home Alone.
Complete with everything from the feathered and burnt hat to the ripped old suits, it was a fantastic effort.
The Addams Family
Impressing last year with a huge blowup dinosaur costume, this year the Parker family pulled it out the bag yet again as they recreated the entire Addams family.
