Celebrity chef Jose Andres, founder of the food aid charity World Central Kitchen (WCK), has made serious allegations against Israel, claiming that his aid workers were targeted during recent strikes in Gaza. The incident, which resulted in the deaths of seven individuals, has sparked international outrage and raised concerns about Israel's actions in the region.

According to WCK, their team was traveling in a 'deconflicted zone' in Gaza in two armored cars and one unarmored vehicle after delivering over 100 tons of food supplies to a warehouse in Deir al-Balah. The attack on their convoy was described as deliberate and not a result of a mistake in targeting.

Jose Andres emphasized that even if there was no coordination with the Israel Defense Forces, no democratic country or military should be targeting civilians and humanitarian workers. The incident has prompted calls for an investigation into the strikes, with WCK urging the governments of the victims to push for accountability.

WCK has also called on the Israeli government to preserve all relevant documents, communications, videos, and other materials related to the attacks to ensure the integrity of any future investigation. The organization is seeking transparency and accountability in the aftermath of the tragic incident.

The accusations made by Jose Andres have added to the growing criticism of Israel's military actions in Gaza, further straining Western support for the ongoing conflict. The international community is closely monitoring the situation and calling for a peaceful resolution to the escalating violence in the region.
