Cheeky puppy destroys family home by shredding £1,500 sofa and ransacking kids' rooms

An excitable, yet destructive puppy has been causing chaos in her owner's home, leaving children's bedrooms in chaos and a £1,500 sofa destroyed.

Marc Taylor has shared a series of hilarious clips and snaps of the mayhem that his 11-month-old cocker spaniel, Nala, causes.

From trashing the family's living room and £1,500 sofa to jumping on their heads when she wants some affection, as well as breaking into and ransacking his daughter's room, and even trying to play with the family's guinea pigs, Nala has really done it all.

However, despite the pup's crazy ways, Marc from Stockport, Greater Manchester, says she is incredibly loving and constantly makes them laugh.

The 41 year old added: "The reason Nala gets called names in our house is because of her madness.

"She's a loving puppy, but she doesn't think before she does things.

"For example, if she wants a cuddle rather than letting us cuddle her, she'll literally jump on our head if we're laying down and lie across our face so that we can't breathe.

"She also has no fear and will jump from the sofa to the chair, sometimes missing the landing - they are about 4ft away from each other."

He added: "When we take her for a walk into the woods, she runs off to a swamp in the wooded area and comes back filthy and wet.

"We swear she does this on purpose.

"The worst thing was when she completely trashed the living room. She'd chewed up her brand new bed, which cost £50, pulled all the sofa cushions down and chewed a couple of them.

"The sofa wasn't even a year old and cost us £1,500. We had to have it stitched up, but luckily, you can't really see the damage.

"She also somehow opened the child gate or jumped over, we don't know which one, and got into my younger daughter's room and completely ransacked it.

"She wanted to play with the guinea pigs, Elvis and Coco, but they weren't up for playing with her. She trashed their home, decided to throw sawdust all over the room and chewed Anna-Rose's stuff up.

"Luckily, Elvis and Coco were not harmed, as they hid under the wardrobe."

Marc added: "My daughter, Izabella, 18, wanted some responsibility so we allowed her to get a puppy, and with us having cockers in the past we couldn't get any other breed.

"She gives you the best welcome home ever - probably because she knows she's made a mess.

"She's such a pleasant princess and just wants to be kissed.

"She has a great personality for a dog and constantly makes us laugh, but she does get away with murder with her big beautiful brown eyes.

"She's just a dream apart from the messiness."
