Chantelle Cameron Signs With Queensberry Promotions, Seeks Title Redemption

Chantelle Cameron signed with Queensberry Promotions after leaving Matchroom.

Queensberry Promotions recently announced the signing of former undisputed junior welterweight champion Chantelle Cameron, who boasts a record of 18-1 with 8 knockouts. Cameron's move to Queensberry came after her release from Matchroom, with the aim of reigniting her career and reclaiming her former glory.

Expressing her gratitude towards Frank Warren and the team at Queensberry, Cameron stated her determination to climb back to the top of the division. Her notable performances against Katie Taylor in Dublin last year elevated her status in the boxing world, despite Taylor opting for a rematch with Amanda Serrano instead of a trilogy fight with Cameron.

Cameron has openly criticized Matchroom promoter Eddie Hearn for failing to secure a third fight with Taylor, expressing her eagerness to avenge her defeat. She remains focused on regaining her titles and is eagerly anticipating her first fight under Queensberry, with a potential rematch against Taylor at the top of her wishlist.

Warren hinted at the possibility of promoters and broadcasters collaborating to make the trilogy fight a reality, emphasizing the spirit of cooperation in the boxing industry. Additionally, Queensberry also welcomed Aadam Hamed, son of former featherweight champion Prince Naseem Hamed, to their roster. Aadam, a junior welterweight, aims to establish his own legacy separate from his father's storied career.

Prince Naseem Hamed expressed his support for his son's boxing journey, highlighting Aadam's dedication to training and his desire to make a name for himself in the sport. The Hamed family looks forward to Aadam's future fights under the Queensberry banner, eager to witness his rise in the boxing world.
