Celebrity Big Brother: Ekin-su Cülcüloğlu addresses Davide Sanclimenti split as she hints to feeling 'hurt'

Celebrity Big Brother star Ekin-Su Cülcüloğlu has addressed her split from Davide Sanclimenti with whom she won ITV reality show Love Island in 2022.

In January, the 29-year-old announced on her Instagram Stories that she had split from Sanclimenti for the second time in 18 months.

In his own post however, the Italian model said it had been a "joint decision" and that he had been blindsided by her statement, saying that they had planned to post a joint statement following Cülcüloğlu's appearance on The Traitors US.

Now opening up about the reason behind their split, the former Love Island winner claimed that she was “more into” Sanclimenti than he was into her during their relationship.

In scenes set to air on Wednesday night’s episode, she appears in the bedroom talking to fellow housemate Marisha Wallace about relationships.

She shares: “They always say to me that the man should be more into the woman. Is that true?” to which the West End star answers: “I think so. Always.”

The TV personality then begins to allude to the reason behind her recent split, saying: “That’s the mistake I made.”

Wallace questions: “You were more into him?” Cülcüloğlu replies, “I think so.”

When the stage performer asks: “What made you quit your relationship?”

Cülcüloğlu shares, “Let's just say he hurt me.”

Her discussion about her recent split comes after she told another housemate, Fern Britton, on Tuesday’s episode that she had “no bad vibes” for Sanclimenti while reflecting on her life in the spotlight.

She shared: “I met love on the show which was great, great memories with that person and I wish them well, I’ve got no bad vibes for him, I really don’t.

“I will treasure all the great times I had and I just hope he’s fine and he’s well.

“But there was a moment after that, everything was too much. The brand deals, the fame, and people wanting me to be a certain person. And I just didn’t know who I was.”
