Driver

What Driver Is Cameron Young Using?

Starting at the top of the bag Young uses a Titleist TSR3 driver and it has 9 degrees of loft in the D1 SureFit setting with a Mitsubishi Tensei 1K White 70 TX shaft. He had been using the TSi3 model to great effect but like many other Titleist staff players the newer design has gone into the bag.

The TSR3 features the classic-shaped head at address, with the main aim of the driver being to make it faster through the air. Titleist have done this by installing a smoother sole, smaller hosel opening and a taller back section. In testing, the numbers were extremely consistent, with the TSR3 minimizing drop offs in speed even from off-centre strikes. However, it's the playability that is the most impressive aspect, as it is the easiest driver to manipulate the flight of.

Fairway Woods

What Fairway Wood Does Cameron Young Use?

Young carries two Titleist fairway woods, one of which is a TSR2+ model which acts as his three-wood, and then a regular TSR2 as his five-wood. The Plus version was a new addition to the Titleist TSR wood family. Designed as an option for those who want a fairway wood as predominantly a second driving option, it is being billed as a longer, more forgiving, tee-biased 3-wood.

The regular TSR2 model strikes the balance between the TSR3 and TRS2+, with it providing a mixture of distance and forgiveness. Feel and acoustically wise it has a slightly lower pitched impact sound and a very satisfying ‘crack’ through impact. What's more, it's very easy to launch and extremely consistent. Both woods are fitted with Mitsubishi Tensei 1K White 80 TX shafts.

Irons

What Irons Does Cameron Young Use?

His iron setup is pretty interesting at the moment. He is carrying a Titleist T100 four and five-iron, and the rest of his irons go from six-iron down to nine-iron and are Titleist 620MBs. They are all fitted with Nippon N.S. Pro Modus3 130 X shafts.

Titleist’s real players’ iron, the 620MB is a one-piece forged muscleback that delivers sleek and simple looks as well as tremendous feel and feedback. The muscleback design produces a tour-proven flight that is workable and controllable. The Centre of Gravity locations have been designed to allow for shot-making and to deliver responsive feedback.

Wedges

What Wedges Does Cameron Young?

Young uses four Titleist wedges at the moment. His first three, 48, 52 and 58 degrees, are all Vokey SM9s whilst he also carries a WedgeWorks BV 2022 Proto with 62 degrees of loft. We're expecting him to head into the new Vokey SM10 wedges soon, but he's yet to make the swtich.

Putter

What Putter Does Cameron Young Use?

His final club in the bag is a Scotty Cameron T5 Prototype instead. It appears to have a mallet kind of design with a plumbers neck and it appears he carries a grey version as well as a black design. We think the grey version is his usual gamer when competing.
