Milwaukee Bucks guard Patrick Beverley (21) drives to the basket past Indiana Pacers center Myles Turner (33) during the first half in Game 6 in an NBA basketball first-round playoff series, Thursday,

Milwaukee Bucks guard Pat Beverley found himself at the center of attention following a series of controversial incidents during Game 6 against Indiana. The game, which ended in a 120-98 loss for the Bucks, saw Beverley involved in two separate incidents that have since sparked discussions.

During the game, cameras captured Beverley throwing a ball into the stands, hitting a fan. The video footage showed the fan throwing the ball back to Beverley, who then proceeded to throw it back at the spectator. Beverley later responded to a video post, stating that there were exchanges between fans and the team throughout the night, emphasizing that they had sought assistance but to no avail.

Hours after the game, Beverley acknowledged the need for improvement, stating, “But I have to be better. And I will.”

Beverley refused a journalist's question for not subscribing to his podcast.

Another incident involved Beverley refusing to allow a journalist to ask a question during the postgame media session after discovering that she did not subscribe to his podcast. Beverley's actions led to the journalist being asked to leave the interview circle. The journalist later confirmed that Beverley had reached out to apologize, a gesture that was appreciated and accepted.

Bucks coach Doc Rivers addressed the incidents, emphasizing that such behavior is not reflective of the team's values. Rivers acknowledged the emotional nature of the game but stressed the importance of maintaining composure in such situations. Beverley reportedly contacted the journalist and expressed regret for his actions without being prompted by the team.

Reflecting on the incidents, Rivers highlighted the need for athletes and coaches to uphold certain standards of conduct, even in the face of provocation. While acknowledging the emotional intensity of the game, Rivers emphasized the importance of maintaining professionalism and composure at all times.

As the Bucks process the outcome of Game 6 and the ensuing incidents, the team looks ahead to future opportunities for growth and improvement both on and off the court.
