Browns now up to 71 percent chance to make the playoffs after win vs. Titans

The Cleveland Browns are on the rise and off to a 2-1 start for the second time in as many seasons after a Week 3 win over the Tennessee Titans.

And now, after this convincing win, ESPN’s Power Index predicts the Browns to have a 70.9 percent chance of making the playoffs this season. There is a long way to go, but with this elite defense and even an average offense, the Browns have the makings of a 12-win team and could be looking at their first AFC North title since the 1980s.

They enter a Week 4 matchup against the Baltimore Ravens with a chance to make an even bigger statement. With a win over the Ravens, the Browns would not only advance to 3-1 on the season (and an offensive meltdown away from 4-0), but they would also be 2-1 in the daunting AFC North.

The chips are in the middle of the table, but it is up to the Browns to prove they are serious contenders as the quarter-mark of the season approaches.
