Britain's Got Talent viewers baffled by bizarre CGI cat act that judges loved

Britain's Got Talent viewers were left perplexed after a CGI cat took to the stage on Saturday night and got a glowing review from the judging panel.

Simon Cowell, Amanda Holden, Alesha Dixon and Bruno Tonioli were all amazed when animated cat Noodle stepped on the BGT stage. The entire act left viewers at home confused as many wondered what the actual judges were looking at, given the animal was a cartoon.

“What is he supposed to do?” Bruno asked in confusion while Alesha concurred: “This might be the most bizarre thing I’ve ever seen.”

The cat spoke in a high pitched and childlike voice, but soon left the judges impressed as Noodle belted out Feeling Good by Nina Simone.

While Noodle earned four yesses from the judges and sailed through to the next round, fans at home were not impressed by the unusual audition.

Viewers at home took to Twitter to rant after the ITV talent show scenes aired. One said: "WHAT AM I WATCHING WHY IS THERE A CGI CAT AND WHY ARE THEY ACTING LIKE ITS SO NORMAL WJAT IS HAPPENING #BGT."

"The animated cat was the moment #BGT jumped the shark. Have watched every series to date and if it makes the live stages then I'm done watching for good," another added. A third continued: "A CGI cat cannot win. #BGT #BritainsGotTalent."

A fourth commented:"So going by what Noodle the Cat “apparently” did by auditioning, maybe next year someone could bring an mp3 of someone singing and a cardboard cutout of a giraffe, and as long as the singing is good, they are through. #bgt."

"#BGT Caught the singing CGI cat. What a load of crap! Faker the the judges reactions. That character has been on You Tube for years! Another fake talent discovered on BGT," someone else ranted.

While another echoed: "It turns out the real stars of Britain's Got Talent are piano-tapping dogs and bot cats. Maybe it’s time the judges and producers were exchanged for bots too, there again, perhaps they have, that would explain why the show is complete sh**"

While viewers at home were all bewildered, judges, Bruno, Alesha, Simon and Amanda had nothing but praise for the act.

“OMG,” Amanda said as she delivered her verdict. “I can’t believe a voice has come out of someone with such a tiny neck.”

Meanwhile, Bruno could only compliment the vocals of the performance, telling Noodle: “Those vocals were insane.”

Alesha added: “Definitely the best cat vocalist we’ve ever had on the show.” Simon arguably gave the biggest compliment as he said Noodle “could possibly win the show”.

Britain's Got Talent continues Saturday on ITV.
