Brian McFadden and Kerry Katona celebrate daughter Molly's graduation from Trinity College

Former Westlife star Brian McFadden and Kerry Katona have shared proud snaps of their daughter Molly after she received her degree from Trinity College Dublin.

Molly's famous parents shared a picture of her in her cap and gown standing on the iconic cobblestones in the historical Dublin university, reports RSVP.

"So proud of my beautiful daughter Molly graduating today at Trinity College Dublin," Brian wrote on Instagram, sharing a series of snaps of Molly celebrating with her classmates.

Meanwhile, Kerry shared a selfies of her daughter Molly smiling in her cap and gown and told her she is "so very proud of you baby girl".

21-year-old Molly is the first born child of Brian McFadden and former Atomic Kitten singer Kerry Katona.

Brian and Kerry married in 2002 and soon had their second daughter, 18 year old Lily Sue. They then split up in 2006.

Kerry is now engaged to fiancé Ryan Mahoney.

Brian McFadden, who is now one half of Boyzlife with former Boyzone star Keith Duffy, is engaged to Danielle Parkinson with whom he has a one year old daughter.

Brian McFadden left Westlife at the height of the band's fame around the time his two oldest daughters were born.

He previously told Closer Magazine that he regrets "not being there as much for his two eldest children".

He explained: “I was only a kid myself when I had Molly and Lilly, and I was at the height of my career in Westlife then – we were literally working 365 days a year, and there was no FaceTime so I couldn’t speak to the kids, I could only see them when I came home.

"So it was a lot harder and I missed out on a lot of the stuff that I would have loved to have seen with the girls."

He added: "Kerry and I didn’t have a very good relationship from the day we broke up until now, really, but it’s been a long time.

"We were only kids when we got together and when we broke up, but we have enough life experience now that we get on with it and there are no problems."
