Brassic cast caught on Google Street View as they film in Whalley Range street

Brassic fans have been given a sneak preview of the new series after a scene unexpectedly appeared on Google Maps.

The website's Street View feature shows the cast and crew of the popular Sky comedy-drama filming outside a house in Whalley Range. Actors can be seen waving at the Google Street View car and others are giving it the thumbs up as it drives down Whalley Road.

Tom Hanson, who plays Cardi in the BAFTA-nominated show, tweeted: "So we were filming Brassic a few weeks ago and a Google car came past, we were all incredibly overexcited. I just checked and we are now on Streetview."

Cameraman Marc Tempest replied: "That’s brilliant look how giddy we all are". While director Ruth Carney commented: “This is hysterical.”

Fan Simon Thomson posted: “I love this! The Brassic wagon is captured for posterity. Perhaps one of the best street view captures ever!!!”

Filming for the fifth series of the show started earlier this year and it is due to premiere in 2023.
