Bengals, Ravens, and Rams highlight the list of Eagles’ 2024 opponents

The Eagles’ second-place finish in the NFC East will still give Nick Sirianni’s team what feels like first-place competition in 2024.

With the final regular season Sunday of the year complete, Philadelphia’s 2024 opponents are set, and it’ll be one of the league’s most demanding schedules.

The official schedule with dates and times won’t be revealed until spring, but it is never too early to start planning trips and predict outcomes.

2023 record (4-13)

Washington will have the No. 2 overall pick in April’s NFL draft, and a new head coach after firing Ron Rivera on Monday morning.

Commanders owner Josh Harris has hired two prominent executives — former Golden State Warriors general manager Bob Myers and former Minnesota Vikings GM Rick Spielman — to assist his ownership group with searches for a new head of football operations and head coach, team officials told ESPN.

The team finished this season at 4-13 and last in the NFC East, and it went 26-40-1 in his four seasons on the job.

4. Carolina Panthers

2023 record (2-15)

After firing his head coach during the season, Panther owner David Tepper fired his GM on Black Monday.

Carolina’s first round pick (No. 1 overall) belongs to Chicago, and they’ll work to hire a staff that can develop 2023 No. 1 overall pick, Bryce Young.

5. Cleveland Browns

Cleveland Browns quarterback Jeff Driskell (12) throws a pass in the fourth quarter of the NFL Week 18 game between the Cincinnati Bengals and the Cleveland Browns at Paycor Stadium in downtown Cincinnati on Sunday, Jan. 7, 2024.

2023 record (11-6)

The Browns made the AFC playoffs despite losing QB Deshaun Watson, RB Nick Chubb and a chunk of the starting offensive line.

Cleveland is led by all-world pass rusher Myles Garrett and former Eagles DC, Jim Schwartz will return to Lincoln Financial Field with the NFL’s top unit.

6. Atlanta Falcons

7. Pittsburgh Steelers

2023 record (10-7)

Mike Tomlin got his team back into the AFC playoffs again, and they’ll visit the Linc in 2024.

The Steelers own a stout defense, two dual-threat running backs, and a duo of explosive pass catchers.

Questions will surround QB Kenny Pickett and his future.

8. Green Bay Packers

Green Bay Packers running back Aaron Jones (33) celebrates after defeating the Chicago Bears during their football game Sunday, January 7, 2024, in Green Bay, Wisconsin.Dan Powers/USA TODAY NETWORK-Wisconsin.

2023 record (13-4)

The No. 1 seed in the AFC playoffs, Baltimore will play host to Philadelphia, as Jalen Hurts and Lamar Jackson matchup in a meeting of two All-Pro quarterbacks.

The Ravens could enter this matchup without Justin Madubuike and Patrick Queen, as both are unrestricted free agents who could land monster contracts.

2023 record (9-8)

2023 record (9-8)

Thanks to their Wild Card matchup, the Eagles and Buccaneers will meet twice in 2023, and Philadelphia will travel back to Raymond James Stadium for a 2024 regular season matchup.

Tampa Bay will have a ton of cap space, and could bring Baker Mayfield back. Star wide receiver Mike Evans could move on in free agency.

7. Cincinnati Bengals

Cincinnati Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow (9) eyes Cincinnati Bengals wide receiver Ja’Marr Chase (1) while he runs a route in the fourth quarter during a Week 9 NFL football game between the Buffalo Bills and the Cincinnati Bengals, Sunday, Nov. 5, 2023, at Paycor Stadium in Cincinnati.

2023 record (9-8)

The Bengals survived the rugged AFC North, and helped that division be the only one in football with every team having a winning record.

There are questions about the future of WR Tee Higgins, but QB Joe Burrow and WR Ja’Marr Chase return.

8. Los Angeles Rams

2023 record (10-7)

This season was supposed to be about rebuilding, but the Rams are back, and will host the Eagles in a rematch of Philadelphia’s 23-14 win.

Matthew Stafford will return, along with RB Kyren Williams, WR Cooper Kupp and star rookie, Puka Nacua.
