The dance community is mourning a "beloved" 25-year-old dancer and choreographer who has died after a motorbike crash in Wandsworth.
Lousha Liddell was riding pillion on a motorbike when it collided with a Honda Civic on Garratt Lane around 1.30am on Wednesday.
She was treated by medics before being taken to a west London hospital, where she tragically died the following day.
In a Gofundme page set up to help pay for her funeral, Ms Liddell's long-time friend Chilli Sanders said her death has "sent ripples through the dance community and beyond"
"She fought valiantly against the cruel hands of fate, surrounded by the hum of machines and the hushed prayers of those who cherished her," wrote Ms Sanders.
"Despite the efforts of the medical team, Lousha succumbed to brain stem death, leaving behind a void in the hearts of those who had been touched by her grace and creativity."
Ms Sanders said Lousha has been her best friend since the age of five.
She described her as "a hip-hop luminary" and "beacon of inspiration".
"With boundless energy, infectious passion, and an innate ability to fuse different dance styles," she wrote.
"Her journey into the realm of dance began at a young age, a natural talent emerging like a delicate bud unfurling into a breathtaking bloom."
She added Ms Liddell's impact "went beyond the stage". "It resonated in the memories of those who had danced alongside her, learned from her, and been moved by the stories she told through movement," wrote Ms Sanders.
She danced in Ed Sheeran's performance of Bad Habits, featuring Bring Me The Horizon that opened the Brit Awards in 2022.
She also recently appeared in adverts for brands including Nike and Gap, and modelled for Schuh.
By 2.30pm on Monday, the Gofundme page had raised almost £9,000 to help Lousha's parents give her "the beautiful send-off that she deserves".
One donor, Veronika Slavova, described Lousha as "an angel on earth".
"I cannot explain how hurt and devastated I am that you are gone," she wrote.
"I cannot explain how glad I am to have met you and have you by my side all these years! You will never be forgotten as you will be in all of our hearts constantly".
Natasha Thwaites described Ms Liddell as "an inspiration and friend to many in the dance community and everywhere [she] blessed."
Others said she was an "inspiring soul" and "beloved friend".
The 22-year-old driver of the Honda Civic that collided with the motorbike Ms Liddell was riding was arrested on suspicion of drug driving causing serious injury.
He has been bailed pending further enquiries, to a date in March.
A man in his 40s who had been riding the motorbike was also taken to hospital, with injures that were not described as life-threatening.Anyone who witnessed the incident or has footage, should police on 101 or Tweet on ‘X’ @MetCC quoting 385/3JAN.
