Bellator MMA teaming up with SVP and SBG for Christmas Charity drive

Bellator MMA are teaming up with St Vincent de Paul (SVP) and Straight Blast Gym (SBG) for a Christmas charity toy drive.

The aim of the initiative is to try and get Irish fans and MMA stars to fill the SBG MMA cage with new toys. Each toy donated to the cause will go to SVP, where they will be distributed to children in need.

The event, which is being called A Knockout BELLATOR Christmas , will take place at SBG headquarters in Inchicore on Saturday December 17th between 1-4pm. There will be plenty of special guests in attendance including John Kavanagh, Peter Queally, Sinead Kavanagh, Brian Moore and Darragh Kelly.

There will also be the chance for MMA fanatics to have their photo taken with Bellator ring girl Pamela Ryan and to take home some fantastic prizes from the event.

Fans who can't make it to the event but wish to get invloved can do so by donating toys to their local SVP branch in the lead-up to December 17th.

FM104 will also be broadcasting the festive event live on the day.

Bellator MMA has a proud history of putting on top-class events in Ireland. The organisation puts shows on in Ireland twice per year and they are often the loudest and most atmospheric cards anywhere in the world.

Just two months ago Bellator put on one of their most stacked Irish cards ever. At the end of September, a sold out 3Arena saw MMA Hall of Famers Yoel Romero and Benson Henderson in action along with a string of the most high-profile Irish MMA stars.

And fans looking to get their fix of Irish Bellator action won't have to wait long as the MMA organisation returns to Dublin on February 25th for Bellator 291. Some of the biggest Irish MMA stars will be in action that night, as will Welterweight world champion Yaroslav Amosov who defends his title against interim title holder Logan Storley.

Tickets for the Bellator 291 are selling fast and can be purchased at Ticketmaster.ie and Bellator.com now.
