Ant & Dec's Saturday Night Takeaway thrown into chaos as golf-buggy crashes in studio

Ant & Dec's Saturday Night Takeaway was thrown into chaos just minutes after it returned to ITV when a golf-buggy crashed into the set.

The hilarious turn of events happened as star Jordan North, was asked to bring viewers Liam and Amy into the studio.

Before setting off, the Radio 1 DJ told them: "Just to let you know, it took me seven times to pass my driving test!" He then put his foot down, spun around a corner.

A few seconds later the buggy was driven into the building via huge doors. However, as Jordan tried to brake, he smashed into the stage.

Those watching at home were quick to react on social media, with one viewer saying: "Jordan North shouldn’t have passed his driving test on the 7th go either! #SaturdayNightTakeaway."

It certainly was a bumpy ride (ITV)

Another person tweeted: "Jordan North has been hired as an assassin #SaturdayNightTakeaway @itvtakeaway."

A third commented: "Arriving in the studio with whiplash thanks to Jordan North #SaturdayNightTakeaway."

While a fourth penned: "Jordan North almost killed her on National TV." @KrisRichensUK said: "Jeezus. Jordan North has a licence…. #SaturdayNightTakeaway."
