Angus Cloud’s mother speaks of devastating moment she tried to resuscitate him

Euphoria actor Angus Cloud’s mother has heartbreakingly spoken about the moment she attempted to resuscitate him.

Cloud died suddenly in July aged 25. The Alameda County Coroner has since ruled his death as an accidental overdose.

According to reports, Cloud - whose full name was Conor Angus Cloud Hickey - had a combination of drugs, including fentanyl, cocaine, benzodiazepine and methamphetamine, in his sytem when he died.

Now, Cloud’s mother Lisa has spoken of the moment she found her son sitting in his bedroom in the morning when she realised something was wrong.

Speaking at the family home in Oakland, California, she told People: “I started shaking him and screaming. I pushed him hard, and he fell on the floor. I tried to resuscitate him — mouth to mouth — and I was compressing him.

“I was screaming for my neighbour because I didn’t want to leave him and call 911, and I just kept at it until they took him away.

“I miss him so much. He was the love of my life.

“He was so beautiful and creative. He loved his home and he loved this little, tiny room.”

Prior to his death, the actor, who played Fezco in the popular show also starring Zendaya, Sydney Sweeney and Storm Reid, was reportedly struggling following the death of his father.

However, while Cloud and his sisters were all “devastated” by the loss, Lisa insisted her son’s “last day was a joyful one.”

“He didn’t kill himself,” she stated in a Facebook post.

“He was reorganizing his room and placing items around the house with intent to stay a while in the home he loved. He spoke of his intent to help provide for his sisters at college, and also help his mom emotionally and financially. He did not intend to end his life.

“When we hugged goodnight we said how much we loved each other and he said he would see me in the morning. I don’t know if or what he may have put in his body after that. I only know that he put his head on the desk where he was working on art projects, fell asleep and didn’t wake up.”

Scores of Cloud’s Euphoria co-stars paid tribute to the actor following his shock death.

Sharing a black and white photo of him on Instagram, Zendaya wrote: “Words are not enough to describe the infinite beauty that is Angus (Conor).

“I’m so grateful I got the chance to know him in this life, to call him a brother, to see his warm kind eyes and bright smile, or hear his infectious cackle of a laugh (I’m smiling now just thinking of it).

“I know people use this expression often when talking about folks they love…’they could light up any room they entered’ but boy let me tell you, he was the best at it.

“I’d like to remember him that way. For all of the boundless light, love and joy he always managed to give us. I’ll cherish every moment.”

She added: “My heart is with his mother and family at this time and please be kind and patient as grief looks different for everyone.”

Meanwhile, Sweeney, who played Cassie Howard, was also among the cast members posting tributes on Tuesday, describing Cloud as “an open soul, with the kindest heart” who “filled every room with laughter”.

In her own Instagram post, she said: “This is the hardest thing I’ve ever had to post, and I’m struggling to find all the words.

“You will be missed more than you know, but I’m so blessed to have known you in this lifetime, and I’m sure everyone who has ever met you feels the same.

“This heartache is real and I wish we could’ve had one more hug and 711 run. All my love is with you.”
