American YouTuber's act of kindness to West Lothian schoolkids on dream trip to New York

An American YouTuber has been praised for his act of kindness after buying West Lothian pupils a pair of top-of-the-line trainers each during the school’s visit to the Big Apple.

West Calder High School’s expressive arts department was on a school trip to New York City when they bumped into a jewellery social media influencer who bought them the flash trainers.

The influencer who goes by the name of ‘Moses the Jeweller’ has 171,000 followers on Instagram and woke up that day ‘feeling energetic’ and decided to give away some free money to some ‘good victims.’

After bumping into the school from West Lothian in JD Sports, Time Square, Moses decided to pay for the trainers out of his own money.

The schoolboys, Jack, Joel, Alfie, and Vaibhav all received their choice of top-drawer air forces and vapormaxes which are currently the latest and most trendy on the market.

Principal teacher for the expressive arts, Ruth Young said: “We were on a school trip to New York when Moses approached four of our pupils and bought them new trainers in JD Sports Times Square! We’re blown away by this amazing random act of kindness, it has made their weekend!”

In a video posted on Moses’ Instagram, it shows the influencer approaching the schoolboys from West Lothian and asked them “are you getting shoes too, or no?”

After the pupils responded with a quick “no” Moses stunned them by saying “Grab yourselves a pair, I’m buying for all of your guys, It’s on me.”

In disbelief one of the schoolboys said “Really, are you serious?” To which Moses replied, “grab any pair that you want, it’s on me, it’s a gift.”

Later on in the video, Moses told the cashier that “they are getting spoiled today” and then was seen handing out hundreds of dollars to other members of staff who were working.

Moses then went onto explain why he decided to do this great act of kindness and proclaimed: “When we were young, we always wished someone would come up to us and buy us sneakers like this, so all we are doing is making our dreams come true through other people.”

He finished the video by challenging other billionaires to do the same as he wants to see love being spread.

The school is now on their way back to Scotland after the eventful trip where they saw all of the sights that the Big Apple has to offer and even bumped into Sam Smith.
