Amanda Holden giggles as she appears to mock Holly Willoughby and mimics her look amid Phillip Schofield 'feud'

Amanda Holden was left giggling live on air as she appeared to mock Holly Willoughby's statement on Phillip Schofield while also mimicking her look. The Britain's Got Talent judge returned to her Heart Breakfast show on Tuesday (June 6) for the first time since Holly made her This Morning comeback.

On Monday (June 5), Holly, 42, returned to the ITV daytime show for the first time in a fortnight. It is the first time viewers have seen her on-screen since her long-time co-host and friend Phillip quit the programme before later stepping back from ITV altogether after admitting to lying to Holly and his employers about a relationship with a much younger ITV colleague.

Holly later released a statement saying that she felt 'hurt' that she had been lied to but during her return to screens, the mum-of-three addressed the scandal head on in a statement read out live on air.

She started by addressing her former colleague and friend by name before not mentioning him again. Holly said: "Firstly, are you OK? I hope so. It feels very strange indeed sitting here without Phil. And I imagine that you might have been feeling a lot like I have – shaken, troubled, let down, worried for the wellbeing of people on all sides of what’s been going on, and full of questions."

Dressed in a sleeveless white buttoned dress, mum-of-three Holly continued: "You, me and all of us at This Morning gave our love and support to someone who was not telling the truth, who acted in a way that they themselves felt that they had to resign from ITV, and step down from a career that they loved. That is a lot to process.

"And it’s equally hard to see the toll that it’s taken on their own mental health. I think what unites us all now is a desire to heal, for the health and wellbeing of everyone."

And on Tuesday morning, Amanda, 52, appeared to mock the comeback statement that Holly made when she returned to This Morning the day before.

The TV and radio star, as she usually does, took to her Instagram Story to show off her choice of outfit for the day and was seen wearing a similar angelic outfit to the one Holly wore. Speaking to the camera, Amanda said: "Hello, it is Tuesday. Are you OK?"

She then continued on to share the details of her stunning outfit, which boasted a plunging neckline and wide baggy trousers. But she also appeared to make a little dig live on Heart Breakfast with.

Talking about doing the show hungover the day before following Sunday night's Britain's Got Talent final, co-host Jamie Theakston, also 52, asked her how she was feeling. "I got home, got straight into bed with my dog and cat," Amanda revealed.

"I got up, cooked the tea and went back to bed again at 8. I did that thing where you wake up at 2 and you have to talk yourself back into going to sleep.'

Jamie then interjected. saying: "We're worried about your well-being," while talking to another guest to which Amanda replied: "I'm OK people, are you OK?" before laughing.

It comes after Amanda backed Dermot O’Leary to replace Phillip on This Morning after reigniting her 'feud' with her former ITV colleague. Dermot and his usual Friday co-host Alison Hammond stepped in to present This Morning for two weeks during Holly's absence with some help from Craig Doyle.

Britain’s Got Talent judge Amanda, who has previously spoken of an apparent rift between her and Phillip, backed the former X Factor host for a permanent place on the ITV sofa. Appearing on her Heart Breakfast show, co-host Jamie Theakston asked if she thinks Dermot would be “good to replace” Phillip. The 52-year-old said: "Yes. I think him and Alison do a great job, don’t they?"

It comes after Amanda took to Instagram when news of Phillip's This Morning exit first broke, before the affair revelation, simply posting the flexed bicep emoji against a black backdrop to her main grid. The comments quickly flooded with messages as she left the post with no caption.
