Alison Hammond praised by In At The Rich End viewers for being the 'perfect host'

Alison Hammond has been dubbed the 'perfect host' by viewers of her In At The Rich End: The Riviera series.

The show, which airs on ITV, followed Alison as she learned more about the lives of the world's elite across the French Riviera.

She found out about the eye-watering prices of megayachts as well as the spending habits of the visitors in the lavish areas.

Although it is considered one of the most expensive places to live on earth, Alison seemed right at home with everybody she talked to.

The idea of spending hundreds of quid for a bottle of water and over £25 million for a yacht didn't stop Alison from getting along with the guests on the show.

Fans loved how down-to-earth she was and took to social media to compliment the This Morning presenter.

"Can I just say how comfortable you look in this programme!" one user said. "Proper flirting with @therealdcf1 Also, you look amazing xx #InAtTheRichEnd ".

Another added: "This programme is why Alison Hammond is the perfect host. She can form a light-hearted connection with anybody in any walk of life without losing her essence".

"This is why I love @AlisonHammond asking a woman worth £5.5bn if she’s ever been to B&M or Poundland," one user tweeted.

One viewer commented: "Nobody but Alison could do this show and strike a balance in tone. She's so down to Earth."

Alison has been a fan favourite on TV shows for years thanks to her incredible sense of humour and bubbly personality.

Recently, Dermot O’Leary surprised Alison live-on air by presenting her with an award on This Morning.

The 49-year-old interrupted Alison while she was talking to bring out a framed certificate for a presenting gong she had scooped.

Alison looked confused as Dermot broke from the teleprompter, and said: "We've got a bit of a surprise for you, Alison Hammond."

She looked nervously at Dermot with a smile as she said: "What are you doing?"

Dermot added that despite not beating ITV presenters Ant and Dec at the National Television Awards – as the duo notoriously rack up all the awards – she did for this accolade.

"It was very sad, a weird celebratory moment where you lost out to Ant and Dec at the NTAs," Dermot said.

Dermot walked behind one of the many Christmas trees to pull out a framed award and continued: "Well you've actually, interesting, beaten them and won the best loved presenter at the Entertainment Daily awards!"
