A Place in the Sun star shows facial scar for first time after being hit by a moped

A Place in the Sun's Danni Menzies has shown her facial scar for the first time since being hit by a stolen moped.

The Scottish presenter, 33, told fans about the terrifying ordeal earlier this month when she revealed a picture of her face looking bloodied and bruised.

Danni revealed she'd been "taken out" by the vehicle in London, which was travelling at 30mph.

Thankfully, the property guru is now on the mend and shared a stunning snap of her and sister Mia getting ready for the Scottish Influencer Awards last night.

In the new pictures Danni poses in a white dressing gown, with a small red scar visible above her right eye.

The presenter then shared snaps of the siblings all dressed up as they got ready for the prestigious event.

Danni captioned the playful post: "Who let the dogs out?"

The pics went down a storm with fans with many telling the host how pleased they were to see her.

One said "So happy to see u back on here and smiling."

She told fans she'd be taking a break from social media (Instagram)

While another posted: "Looking good danni. Enjoy yourself and stay safe xx."

The star's fans were worried earlier this month when Danni shared an image of the damaged moped online.

She told her 103,000 followers how she planned to take a break from social media following the scary experience and while 'it's wasn't looking pretty right now', she was confident she will feel better soon.

Captioning the photo, Danni said: "Sooooo…. On Saturday I was taken out (on the pavement!) by a stolen moped that lost control.

Danni is stepping down from her role on A Place in the Sun (Channel 4)

"Didn't see it coming and it's not looking too pretty tbh.

"I’m sure I will be fine in a few weeks but in the meantime I will be a wee bit quiet on here."

Danni's crash comes following her announcement she is set to step down from her role on A Place in the Sun, after six years starring on the Channel 4 series.

The Scottish star, who has worked in her parents' property business for years, was a popular addition to the programme when she first appeared on screen back in 2016.

However, she's now decided to pursue other projects and has just bagged a gig filming MTV and Channel 5's tough new reality show The Challenge, according to reports.
