A Place in the Sun's Jasmine Harman dishes out reality check after worrying remark

A Place in the Sun's Jasmine Harman dished out a reality check at the start of today's search.

The property expert was helping Marian and Donald find their dream home in Almuñécar. The married couple were armed with a budget of £120,000 and were looking for a two bedroom apartment that looked out on to the beach.

Donald said: "We think it's possible that why we''ve came to you." However, the expert was immediately concerned after the comment.

Jasmine shot back: "I'm good but I'm not a miracle worker. From what I've seen here, frontline properties start at £140,000 which is quite a bit over your £120,00 budget. Is there any scope for flexibility?"

Jamine was worried after the buyers confirmed they did not have much wiggle room. She said: "To get everything you want, I think it's going to be really difficult with that budget. That's the reality check over. I have seen some really good properties and hopefully we find something that works for you."

However, the hunt proved to be difficult as Jasmine said later on in the episode the average price of a two bedroom apartment on the coast is £180,000.

The buyers were fans of the third property on the search, which was a two bed apartment in Almunecar. They also branded the final home on the search, a three-bed apartment in Velilla Taramay as a contender.

However, Jasmine was disappointed as they did not put a bid in for any of the homes. The host conceded: "It was impossible to get it all in the one property."
