£17m Premier League winner, Arteta target - The 4 players Arsenal can sign from Bayern fire sale

Arsenal could take advantage of Bayern Munich's decision to start a huge summer fire sale in an attempt to raise funds to sign Harry Kane from Tottenham. The Bundesliga champions desperately want Kane to lead their attack for the 2023/24 season but they have thus far been met by a firm stance from chairman Daniel Levy.

football.london understands Tottenham are still making it very clear that they would immediately reject a bid for Kane should they receive one. However, Bayern are not backing down and are hoping to raise significant funds that will help them increase the £80million offer that is in the works which will undoubtedly be rejected by Tottenham.

According to Sky Germany, seven first-team stars have been given the green light to depart at the right price and the Gunners should be looking at at least four of them to bolster their squad for the upcoming campaign.

Despite spending over £200million to sign Kai Havertz, Jurrien Timber and Declan Rice, with the latter duo expected to be confirmed this week, Arsenal can still afford some more signings with Bayern's low price tags sure to intrigue Mikel Arteta and Edu.

So, with that said, football.london has listed four players that Arsenal could move to sign in the latter stages of the summer window.

Sadio Mane

The former Liverpool man has endured a turbulent spell with Bayern Munich and it looks set to end very soon. An off-pitch disagreement with Leroy Sane saw him suspended earlier this year and now he could be one of many to depart Allianz Arena.

Adding depth in attack is not a necessity for Arsenal but for a player with the proven quality in the Premier League of Mane, it surely is a no-brainer. The report from Sky Germany also adds that Bayern are looking for just £17million to part ways with the 31-year-old.

While his age does not quite fit into the bracket of signings Arteta likes to make, as we saw with Jorginho, the Spaniard can change his demands for the right player at a good price and Mane is certainly that.

Ryan Gravenberch

Arsenal have already been linked with a move for Ryan Gravenberch but had been explicitly told he was not for sale by Bayern. That stance now looks to have changed with the former Ajax midfielder possibly departing after just a year in Germany.

Given he is just 21, Thomas Tuchel's side are looking for a higher fee around £34m for the Dutchman, but they are hoping to raise more than £40m from his sale. With Thomas Partey looking likely to depart alongside Granit Xhaka, another midfield signing is needed but Liverpool are also hoping to add another body to their engine room and are looking at Gravenberch.

Benjamin Pavard

The signing of Timber likely means bringing in Benjamin Pavard in the same position as well is unlikely, however he is a very different full-back to the Netherlands international.

The World Cup winner can also play at centre-back or on the right of a back three. His tactical versatility could allow Arteta to be flexible with the formations he plays and the instructions he gives to certain players.

Chelsea have previously been linked but the arrival of Malo Gusto has seen interest cool. Bayern will demand between £29m-£34million for the sale of Pavard.

Yann Sommer

The future of the Arsenal goalkeeping department is currently unclear, although Aaron Ramsdale is expected to remain as the No.1 choice. In search of more minutes, Matt Turner could depart and if that is the case, the Gunners could turn to Yann Sommer.

The 34-year-old was brought in earlier this year after Manuel Neuer broke his leg on holiday and he could provide immediate competition with Ramsdale. The Switzerland international is in the final stages of his career, but having a player with his level of experience could prove valuable and at just £8million, it would a bargain swoop for Arsenal.
