10 prospects the Eagles should consider trading up for on Day 2 of NFL draft

The NFL draft is full of elite and dynamic offensive talent, but the biggest key to building the perfect roster is selecting players that fit an urgent need.

The draft doesn’t end in Round 1, and with multiple Day 2 picks, Philadelphia could look to land the best available players in both rounds or trade up to secure an impact player.

The Eagles’ roster is stacked at most positions, but Friday’s picks offer an opportunity for Howie Roseman to trade up for a dynamic or impact player.

DJ Turner, CB, Michigan

Michigan defensive back DJ Turner (5) tackles Ohio State wide receiver Xavier Johnson during the second half Nov. 26, 2022 at Ohio Stadium in Columbus.

Turner officially ran the fastest 40-yard dash among this year’s combine participants, logging the only sub-4.3 time.

According to PFF, just six players in the FBS played more press than Turner (394 snaps) over the 2021 and ’22 seasons.

At 6-6 5/8 and 264 pounds, Washington ran a 4.64 40-yard dash at the scouting combine, and his height, arm, and hand size have all ranked in the top 10th percentile of tight ends since 2003, and he shares a similar size and speed profile with Rob Gronkowski.

Washington amassed just 45 receptions over his three years as a Bulldog but averaged an impressive 17.2 yards per reception.
